The Qatar national Beach Soccer Team is in Rio de Janeiro for a series of friendly games against Vasco, Flamengo and Botafogo. The team’s coach is the Brazilian Neném, who has been in the position for four years. According to the coach, they will face high level teams and this will demand more from the players, and also help in their preparation for the qualifiers of the beach soccer world cup, taking place in Qatar, on March 21st. The World Cup will be held in July in Portugal.




Brazil was the country chosen for the preparation due to its climate and the fact that the coach is at home. Up to day he is still the Brazilian national team’s greatest striker with 336 goals. The coach believes that the Qataris athletes have a lot to learn in this two weeks in town.
